White Party and Chinese Circus

Time goes by so fast when you are in holiday with three children! Make them eat, wash them, dress and undress, washing the swimming suits, poop accidents, don't forget the sun protection, bring some ice cream, pee accidents, everything is happening so quickly!
And when the evening comes, you get ready for the party! We already attended two beautiful shows: the White Party, with a spectacular ice sculpture live and some jet ski demonstration, and the Beijing Acrobats, who delighted us with an amazingly (and unexpected) good circus show.

It started from the restaurant, with ice sculptures all around the entrance way.

We all wore white to fit the theme :).

The girl were super-trendy with their fluo sandals!

Radu started to heat the dance floor before the show!

We stopped to admire the setup one more time, then we went to bed...

Last night we totally admired the Beijing Acrobats, a beautiful show performed with so much passion by a big team of well prepared young Chinese.

The rest of the time, you know: swimming, sun, sea, all the good things! I will come back soon with new pictures from the Mediterranean shore.
Be well, friends!

Yeeey, Holiday!

Every year, in the last seven years, we eagerly expected the summer holiday from Runa's school! Why? To go in Turkey, of course! I know it may sound snobbish, but we found this to be the best holiday with small children, due to the beautiful beaches, always-sunny-days, billions of pools and amazing client service.

We chose this year a different resort, Ela Quality Resort, and we think is a wonderful choice!
Talking about client service, each child found on his pillow a teddy bear, in the closet they had bathrobes fitting the right size for their ages (yes, Runa too!), fluffy slippers and for Radu a special treat with baby biscuits and bath amenities in the baby cot.

Yesterday we traveled in the afternoon, so we arrived just in time for a bath in the swimming pool and dinner. Which pool to choose? Difficult question, there are so many pools I don't really know their number, for any kind of swimmers: from beginners to olympics!

In the evening, we were so tired, we fell asleep at 10'o clock, the children even earlier!
They woke up VERY FRESH and 7 am, chirping like three sparrows, with the pools in their mind.

The hotel's garden is huge and full of flowers in a yellow and orange color palette, with marigolds, iris and dahlias, with small accents of pink.

There are some weak points, we found the main restaurant too small for such amount of people, but the food is really, really good and the personnel very careful and obliging. The other thing is the distance between the rooms and the beach, or the restaurants or everything, you need to walk a lot. Is good for health, anyway!

Runa was taking a walk on the special barefoot path, an interesting concept of healing through walking in different mediums.
See you later with more pics and news!

This Moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. {from www.soulemama.com}

Colour... Smile... Joy...

Three words to describe some of the most beautiful handmade dolls I know: The Matildas from Maripos Handmade. Their story comes from Alina's childhood, when her grandmother used to tell her meaningful stories with Matilda as a central character.
See how a good story told at the appropriate time can shape our future?!

Matilda is a happy doll, who can bring a smile on every children's face.

Their "mommy" is a mother of a real doll herself, with miraculous hands and exuberant imagination. One of her brilliant ideas is to use your own baby clothes to make your own unique Matilda for your baby or as a gift for a friend's child, as a reminder of good old days.

Matilda can come also with her family, her sisters, her cat and her owl, so your kid will have stories to tell to their friends and kindergarten colleagues.

Alina, the soul behind Maripos Handmade, can be reached on Facebook, on Breslo (on-line shop), or by email: mariposhandmade@yahoo.com
Any doll can be purchased at 12 E a piece (50 lei), for special orders is better to contact Alina directly.
Use the code "Fairy" in your order until the 30th of June to get your own Matilda at 10 E (or 40 lei)!

Weekend Reloaded and Happy Friends

Our good friends Andreea and Dio (you can see them HERE and in THIS post and in many others from my blog), together with Andreea's parents (welcome, re-united family!) just moved together in a beautiful, beautiful house. They invited us yesterday to visit them and have a barbecue together. And... we forgot all our photo cameras home! So we have no pictures at all from yesterday!
Home is the place of our dreams, it is where our heart is and there is no limit to the joy one receives on getting the key to one's new home. So, our best wishes and hope you'll be happier than ever in your gorgeous new home, Andreea and Dio!

However, I still have some nice pictures from last week, when we spent our Sunday afternoon in Carol Park with our sons-in-law Violeta, Bogdan and little David

Bogdan and the girls were roller skating again, having lots of fun. The only one resisting the whole day was Runa, of course!

While I'm almost never wearing black, that weekend I felt like doing so... is so not me, I hate black outfits!

This being shown, I'll go to vote, is major election day today in Bucharest!
